Well, I am not sure who the 'US' is yet, but for now, there is ME (Silentdub) I purchased my first Volkswagen back in March of 2000 and purchased a new MKIV GTI VR6.
This was not only my first Volkswagen, but also my first ever foreign car. I have owned Chevy's my whole life and as far as I can see now, I will not buy another.
My MKIV started the obsession, and sure enough, I wound up in the MKI scene and shortly after purchased my first MKI.
I now have a 1980 VW Rabbit Diesel that I am restoring to a point, and everything else beyond that will be custom.
The car I purchased really was a broken down piece of shit, but with a nod from my lovely wife, it found it's way home to my garage.

I have been asked by many many people to write up some DIY's for some of the things that I am doing.
I started to do so, and then I would get censored on one site, and the other site (mk1love.com) closed down,
so I figured I would create my own site and paid for 5 years in advance so I know I won't be wasting my time re-writing my posts.
